6th Form Qualifier 2015 Please download the Excel sheet here. Students in Year 11 at Aylward Academy
will need to apply formally for a place in Sixth Form. The 6th Form
Team will examine subject choices and offer further guidance, should the need
arise.
The Academy will admit students from
outside of Aylward into Year 12. Entry requirements for courses are the same as
those for internal applicants.
Students entering Aylward Academy will
be expected to read and sign an Aylward Academy Sixth Form Contract. This
outlines the commitment required to be successful in Post 16 study and the
support that students can expect to receive from Academy staff. In addition,
Sixth Form students must recognise that they are part of a large community and
have a responsibility to abide by our dress code and conduct themselves in a
manner that supports Academy ethos.

Admission Key Dates
Thursday 3rd December 2015 - 6th Form Open
Evening/Year 11 Options Evening.
Please note
that the exact number of students admitted to Year 12 in September 2016 will
depend on the Academy's ability to accommodate the actual subject choices of
the students who apply. Applicants are asked to note that an offer of a place
in the Sixth Form does not mean that actual admission to the Sixth Form is
thereby guaranteed; actual admission to the Sixth Form is almost always
contingent on the applicant meeting the full entrance criteria of the school
and for all the subjects for which s/he has applied. |
