Sixth Form

Our sixth form is open to students who want to study in a supportive but challenging environment. We aim to help our young people develop the skills and gain the qualifications they will need to succeed.

All students in the sixth form receive pastoral and academic support from the Directors of Learning of Years 12 and 13 and the Sixth Administration Assistant, as well as our extensive enrichment programme which includes active PSCE (Personal Social and Citizenship Education), and opportunities to participate in peer mentoring, volunteering opportunities and enterprise projects.

Students in the sixth form are also supported both through the UCAS university application process (working in partnership with link universities such as University College London and Middlesex University), and progression to employment or further training.

Students in the sixth form have benefited from the new build that is taking place at the Academy and have a new Common Room and the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) at their disposal.

Attendance Information

The Sixth Form Attendance Team monitors attendance & punctuality regularly and works closely with families to support good attendance.

Our students, parent/carers and staff have made huge efforts to keep attendance at the forefront of their minds. We wish all of our students to achieve at least 95% attendance. Research tells us that if students attend schools/academies at this level every term they will reach their full potential.

Students are expected to attend all timetabled lessons and VT every day. If they are unable to attend any timetabled lesson they should inform their lesson teacher and Sixth Form attendance lead.

There are rewards for high attendance.

Please follow the following attendance procedures:

  1. Contact the attendance office on the following number, to report the absence. (Tel: 0208 8031738 Ext: 288)
  2. If at all possible make medical/dental appointments outside of academy hours
  3. Do not book holidays in term time
